A soft and elegant coffee, with lemony and floral notes, all accompanied by the sweetness of lychee.
Buno was established in 2018 and is managed by Mr.Abiyot who oversees the selection of partner farmers, cherry processing and drying practices. Buno focuses on working with farmers with 8-15 hectares of land, which makes quality improvements more manageable and ensures that the volumes of cherries produced can be separated into micro-lots by single grower. To ensure that coffee growers wait for cherries to ripen, Buno pays them a bonus for each kilo delivered after harvest.
9 coffee growers contributed to this lot who, on average, have holdings of 6.5 hectares.
In this region, coffee grows under shades of native trees such as acacia and wanza. The local soil is fertile volcanic red soil and deep sandy loam.
