A coffee of great aromatic complexity, preferably used in a gentle way.
Granja la Esperanza
This cafe in Valle de la Cauca is a unique variant of the large Colombian farm Granja La Esperanza and more specifically the Hawaiian farm. The farm is located at an altitude of more than 1500 meters and is considered one of the pioneers of specialty coffee in Colombia.
Granja La Esperanza has mastered the fermentation of coffee. This variety was dried naturally for 15 days on verandas under controlled humidity.
This centuries-old variety is a mutation of a Bourbon and is named after the Port of Mokha in Yemen. It was imported into Brazil in the 1900s and later transferred with a Typica to increase its productivity. Its small grains hold the attention and characteristic of this variety. The Granja farm uses this famous mutation with typica, also called "Long Mokka" or "Maui Mokka".
In glasses, there is a tremendous explosion of sweetness and flavor. A multi-floral cup, you can almost feel the Ethiopian land with the slightly spicy side of Yemen. The perfect coffee for a gentle method!
